Two sessions - 9:00a.m. and 1:00p.m.
Nordic Walking is regular walking with hand-held poles similar to those used for cross-country skiing. The Nordic Walking technique helps burn 40% more calories than regular walking, strengthens the upper body and reduces stress on the joints.
Alexandra Hornbergs, a German exercise expert and Gyrokinesis® teacher, will lead the 2 1/2 hour class. Alex will lead the class through a Gyrokinesis® warm-up to increase range of movement, flexibility and coordination. Then she will demonstrate proper Nordic Walking techniques, lead the group on a hike through the bosque, and provide cool-down stretches to finish.
