Getting Started FAQs

Do I need to sign up in advance for classes?

YES. Space is limited, and you do need to reserve a space in the classes you want to take. This will also allow us to call you if the class should cancel for some reason.

What should I wear?

Wear non-restrictive clothing that will allow you to move freely. Men are advised to wear bicycle shorts under loose fitting shorts.

SOCKS – for hygiene purposes we require that all clients wear socks during their sessions

We are also a FRAGRANCE FREE environment. Many individuals are sensitive to airborne irritants, and we ask that clients refrain from wearing perfume or heavily-scented products.

Are there any perquisites for the classes?

Private sessions are always recommended prior to entering a group class.

For Pilates Mat classes and Pilates Chair & Exo Chair classes, private sessions are NOT required.

For Pilates Equipment classes (including Reformer/Tower classes), we do require FOUR private sessions prior to joining those classes. WE offer a newcomer 4pack of private sessions at a discounted rate for this purpose.

For individuals with serious injuries or certain physical limitations, group classes may not be appropriate. If you are unsure, do not hesitate to call us to discuss your particular limitations and always consult your physician before beginning any new exercise program.

What is your cancellation policy?

24hour cancellation notice is required for all appointments (both classes and privates session). 48hour cancellation notice is required for holiday classes like Christmas eve, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, etc…

What is the minimum number of people required to run a class?

We will run any class as long as there are at least TWO people signed up.

What if I am the only one signed up for a class?

We will call you the day before and offer you a couple of options. If you are the only one signed up for a class, we will offer you the option to do a $40 Private session at that time. If you opt not to take a private session, then you can change classes or simply cancel.

What about parking in the Nob Hill area?

In front of the studio, there is metered parking. However, there is free parking North of the studio on Dartmouth and Richmond as well as East of the studio on Monte Vista.
